Rustic and cosy, you’ll stay in our approx. 300-year-old “Troadkasten” – a special piece of Carinthian history. “Troad” means grain, and in the past every farm in the region had its own Troadkasten, where home-grown food was stored safely and kept dry throughout the year.
With great attention to detail, our traditional Carinthian Troadkasten has been converted into a cosy holiday cottage. We have preserved its original character and carefully complemented it with modern comfort.
Traditional architecture, the unique atmosphere, and the warmth of the place make the Troadkasten a perfect spot to switch off, breathe deeply, and arrive – ideal for anyone who loves authenticity and wants to experience a truly genuine farm holiday.
Our three-storey holiday cottage offers plenty of space to feel at home. At the entrance you’ll find a cosy living area for arriving and relaxing. On the lower ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchenette with dining area as well as the bathroom. The bedrooms are located on the first and second floors, providing peaceful retreats.
All rooms are connected by staircases, underlining the house’s original character.

Deposit
For a reservation, we kindly ask for a deposit of EUR 300. Your booking becomes binding once the deposit has been received.
Final cleaning and visitor’s tax
- Final cleaning per apartment/chalet: EUR 79
- Visitor’s tax incl. contribution to the Bad Kleinkirchheim Sonnenschein Card (from age 17): EUR 3.90 per person per night
Pets
- Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
- We charge EUR 10 per night, per dog.
